The guy can upload al 100 hours of footage online a lot cheaper than manufacturing thousands of dvds that may or may not sell at retail prices.

With CTI now filing for bankruptcy, will anyone have any money to buy DVDs?
of course, yes.

but DVDs are becoming less and less valuable.

The difference is that music concert films tend to have a longer keepsake value than typical theatrical releases, so the idea that uploading the film extras online will be more profitable is simply hogwash. Jackson's legions of fans will eagerly scoop up a new DVD concert film with no problem whatsoever.
