A First Look at The Dark Knight!
Rabid Bat-fans in attendance at Wizard World Chicago 2007 got one of the ultimate treats recently: Not only were conventioneers given an advance viewing of some footage from The Dark Knight, but they also got to participate in a Q&A with several members of the cast and crew. Luckily for the rest of us, IGN Movies was there to share the news.
Jurassic Park IV Plot Details Leaked
Over at Bloody-Disgusting, this is quickly shaping up to be the Week of News About Sequels You Will Not Want to See -- hot on the heels of yesterday's report about Alone in the Dark II, the site is offering up a bit of incredible (in the worst sense of the word) news about Jurassic Park IV.
Jackson Directing The Hobbit After All?
Just a little over six months ago, New Line's Bob Shaye publicly stated that the Lord of the Rings trilogy's director, Peter Jackson, was not only out of the running for the LotR prequel The Hobbit, but would "never make any movie with New Line Cinema again" as long as Shaye was with the studio. Few bridges are permanently burned in Hollywood, however -- particularly where billion-dollar franchises are at stake -- and IGN Movies reports that white flags might be on the horizon for Jackson and Shaye.
Bond 22 Details, Casting Rumors, and Controversy!
It wouldn't be a Bond movie without controversy, and despite the fact that it's still waiting for an official title, Bond 22 has just stirred up the inevitable first round of complaints -- and this time around, they don't have anything to do with the star's supposed deficiencies: IGN Movies and The Times are reporting that the film's planned climactic action sequence has raised the ire of animal rights organizations.
Milla Jovovich On Resident Evil And Her Ultraviolet Beef
Meeting Milla Jovovich was the highlight of RT's visit to the set of Resident Evil: Extinction, and not just because the impish actress is as energetic as a live wire. She also spilled tons of info about her character Alice and story points from the upcoming sequel, and spoke candidly about her disappointing experience making last year's Ultraviolet. Read on!

- Chris Pine will star with Lin Shaye and Muse Watson in writer/director Ryan Craig's indie film Small Town Saturday Night.
- Writer/director Chris Kentis and producer Laura Lau are reteaming on an untitled thriller for Paramount Vantage -- their first film since indie hit Open Water.
- Brian Horiuchi and Matt Lazarus will adapt a remake of the Boris Karloff cult film Isle of the Dead for RKO Pictures.
- Michael Cera will star in the teen comedy Youth in Revolt, based on the novel by C.D. Payne.

- Warner Independent Pictures has acquired Scott Rothman's script Fratboy for Mike Karz to produce through his Karz Entertainment.
- Emma Roberts has signed on to star in Hotel for Dogs, a live-action canine film for DreamWorks.
- Bernie Mac has joined John Travolta and Robin Williams in the cast of Old Dogs, the comedy being directed by Walt Becker for Disney.
- Stuntwoman/actress Zoe Bell (Grindhouse) will star in her first lead role in an untitled action adventure from Marco Weber's Senator Entertainment.

on Aug 18 2007 05:29 AM As I've been saying all along, it would be one of the biggest financial and critical blunders in movie history to not have Jackson direct The Hobbit. New Line got stuck with Jackson when he made a trilogy of best picture nominees universally loved by critics that made billions of dollars at the box office. Movie magic that created a buzz and excitement among tens of millions of fans around the world that hadn't seen since the original Star Wars trilogy. Poor New Line, it must be terrible to have such a financial and artistic talent wanting to direct a movie for them. Jackson could deliver a piece of crap in two parts and it%u2019ll still make a billion at the box office. He%u2019ll be critic proof with The Hobbit and the movie industry knows it. No other director worth his/her weight would even think about taking on such a daunting task. They%u2019ll just sit back with their fingers crossed with the rest of the Jackson haters and hope that he%u2019ll fail. (Reply to this) |
on Aug 18 2007 08:34 AM JURASSIC PARK 4 ... OK, having just read about the horrible thread about dinosaurs with guns. (A concept i saw in some jurassic park comic books about the dinos being bread for combat/also it happenned in some Aliens comic.) I have decided to share a brief description for a Jurassic Park 4, movie script i was too lazy to write a few years back, as i love JP. And you MUST read the books if you havent already. OK, here goes.... and it is NOT a complete story, just some basics. ..... The story kicks off on the Original Island of Isla Nubar, site of the actual Park, and not site B, featured in both the sequels. It is 5 years since JP 3. And the Park has been re modified and is now fully functioning to the general public. Hammond finally got his wish. The park has been open for 2 months, and has been a world wide phenominon. However the park has a very diffrent re-designed layout. Instead of all the perimeter fences as they were, they have been replaced by huge white observation tunnels (like in Jaws 3) the tunnels have electrified fences on the outsides of them. One advantage of the tunnels is that they can cross scenic valleys and mountain ranges making the views more spectacular. Also added safety. Also, instead of seperating ALL of the dinosaurs, some of them are free to mingle, alowing nature to take its course and for the viewers to witness real dino fights and births etc.. There is also a strong military presence on the island as extra security. including a ranger station, with helicoptor etc... Anyways, this being JURASSIC PARK, something has so go sh*t-shaped at some point. My idea is for terrorists (either religious fanatics or animal rights protesters) to pose as engineers, they manually shut down the power grid, and have created a bomb that blows a huge section out of the tunnel. All the safety doors behind the visitors are now locked, and a band of survivors have to battle their way forwards, which will include crossing a canyon, riding up a river(as in the first JP book) where they face the T-rex and lots of spitting Dilophosaurs. They also have to travel through volcanic areas where the Raptors nest. The military has to search for them and get involved in some hot shootem-up action, etc etc... Well, thats roughly it, without me writing a book of it all, something i would love to do. So if you liked that idea, you may also like my ideas for a ghostbusters 3, and various other storys iv dreamed up. If you hated it, well, suck my b*lls! heres a poster i made ht en (Reply to this) |

on Aug 18 2007 08:39 AM THE DARK KNIGHT ... Well, am i the only bat-fan who hates the new look of the costume? I just saw a full frontal of the suit on those new leaked pics, I really dont like it! Instead of simplicity they went over the top with the design. It looks like toy marketing to me. The chest area and legs are the worst offending parts. IMO. However the film itself looks set to ROCK! on Aug 18 2007 08:46 AM THE HOBBIT ! Quite simply, PJ or the Highway! If Peter Jackso Doesnt make this film, then I have NO desire to see it! I am not prepared to sit through another Eragon, or Lion With & the Wardrobe! LW&W was waaaay overrated and badly acted with almost No feeling involved. The Lion which was supposedly a rival to King Kong was in the movie for about 5 mins and didnt even really do anything. Liam Neesons voice was week in comparison to the Lion King. Eragon! well, need i say more? The trailer looked promising, it looked like it could even be like the hobbit. I sat through that movie in disbelief! Soon as the dragon spoke! it was game over man. This is what the Hobbit could end up like in the wrong hands! I only trust PJ. (Reply to this) |

We have a mediocre actress starring in another bad live-action dog movie from generally subpar company. It's basically the next Underdog. If there is any chance that someone in the industry takes a gander at a diffrent storyline than the one they have then il post it werever! Im trying to save a decent franchise! on Sep 11 2007 11:19 PM dark knight i am still hoping to be excellent, just as batman begins was excellent.... jurassic park 4, uh, well they should have just stopped it at 2, or maybe even 1....... i stopped caring about the hobbit about maybe a year after return of the king came out, infact i forgot about it, so i could care less, but if he still made a hobbit film i would most likely still see it..... bond 22 should be good, ecspecially after seeing how great casino royale was, but i probably will just ignore it for a while until i see a trailer..... Bernie Mac, John Travolta, and Robin Williams, three desperate actors having to go to a disney movie for some money... Bernie mac and John Travolta are very overrated so i don't really care about them... but Robin Williams, was brilliant once, i haven't seen anything funny from that guy in years though, it's sad to see how far he has fallen, especially after seeing that one man of the year movie which was boring and terrible... i don't even think i watched all of it, before shutting it off seeing how boring it is and RV was a family/kids movie at their worst.... the rest of the news i don't care about.
