They're both rather funny and do it in different ways. This won't lead me to watch the Oscars, but I'll definitely look for clips in YouTube afterwards.

Baldwin is a weird choice but he's very funny. he proves it in 30 rock everytime. Martin is also very funny and there's no doubt about it, he can host a very well.

i'm starting to think that this choice was made to promote their new film with Nancy Myers. they always do that sort of thing in Kid's Choice awards.

I was hoping for Steve Martin and Tina Fey after their bit together at this year's Oscars, but I'm glad to see Alec Baldwin stepping in. I also can't wait to hear what Craig Ferguson has to say about this.

Will Alec get frustrated with Steve and verbally berate him on the show? I can't watch Alec Baldwin without thinking of his Team America incarnation, which makes him even funnier to me. Though the Cat in the Hat and the child abuse were hard to get past there for a bit.

STEVE MARTIN'S pretty conservative-acting and ALEC BALDWIN used to act sinisterly-(tounge-in-cheek)-conservative 17 and 18 years ago.

Now it seems like ALEC BALDWIN act like a "straight-laced-professional-type" who dropped ACID (LSD) some time between 1992 and 2001. ALEC BALDWIN acts very strangely at times now compared to the GLENGARY GLEN ROSS (spelling) days. ACID or SHROOMS or something like LSD and Peyotes "freed" him from being "straight-laced."

and that's both good and bad.

Good call. They should be pretty funny together. Baldwin is surprisingly funny, when given the opportunity on 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live.
